Homestyle Gathering is your weekly homekeeping destination! A place where you can share inspiration, find inspiration and make new friends.

Hi friend! Welcome to Homestyle Gathering! I’m so glad you’re here!

I don’t know what it’s like in your neck of the woods, but I think our area missed the memo on the fact that fall is here. We had our annual church campout this past weekend. Pete and I decided to go a day early and stay a day later with some friends. It was SO stinking hot – like mid to upper 90 degrees hot (and humid)! Thank goodness we were in a camper and could go in and cool off once in a while. A quick drive to the river and taking a plunge was super refreshing too. What’s it like in your area? Has fall showed up yet?

If you missed last week’s party, you can find all the great inspiration that was shared here.

Also, be sure to check out my Homestyle Gathering Link Party board – you’ll find each week’s features pinned to this board.

Let’s get the party rolling!

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

  2. Would you believe some parts of our province received three feet of snow this weekend? Thankfully, other than a few flakes, we were spared…but it’s coming. I’ll trade ya! LOL Thanks for hosting and have a great week :)

  3. The summer temps just refuse to leave! Didn’t stop me from decorating for fall, though. Thanks for hosting, Kim!

    1. Hi Carol!
You’re ahead of me! I really struggled with welcoming in fall in upper 90-degree temps. Tomorrow might be the day though. We’re going to have an artic blast of 67-degree temps moving in. So excited!

  4. Thank you for hosting! This is what was highlighted during the week 9-23- to 9-27 on the blog. Wrapping up this healthy week we enjoyed Apple Corn Muffins. Enjoy!

  7. Hi Kim, we are in the same boat. Still in the 90’s here in KY and humid. It’s hotter than it was in July and we have had no rain in almost 2 months! I can’t get motivated to decorate my porch or yard with fall plants and pumpkins… can’t take this heat!

Thanks so much for featuring my tablescape and for hosting!

    1. Hi Amber!
You’re welcome! Yep, we were under a heat advisory yesterday – like you said…hotter this week than it was in July. So crazy! I’ve struggled in the motivation department too. Tomorrow, it’s supposed to be 67 degrees. Hopefully, that will make me want to get in the mood for fall.
