As I’ve mentioned before, our son is at Ecola Bible School, on the Oregon coast. He has shared, time and time again, about what a beautiful place it is. This is a picture he took a while back and I thought I would share it here. When I look at this I’m reminded again at at what a marvelous Creator we serve.
Have you ever thought about God’s love for you? We can’t even comprehend the love He has for us. Those of us who understand this love are blessed. I think there are many (even some believers) who walk through life never giving it much thought. Sure, they know God loves them. But, do they (we) stop and really think about how much?
The more I grow in my walk with the Lord, the more I understand His love. Not because he has started loving me any more than he has been, but because I am becoming more aware of Him as I grow in that relationship. He loves us beyond any words I can use here to explain.
When you go to work you perform the best you can at your job. You might even take extra courses of study in order to promote yourself for a raise or a better position. Shouldn’t we strive for the same as Christians? When we do, we are rewarded with an awareness that only comes from growth. Every time we read our Bibles we are “taking an extra course of study” better positioning ourselves with God. The higher our position gets the better our relationship is – and the more aware we are of His love. I have to take my own advise here and apply it everyday to grow my relationship with the Lord. (There is never an end to the growth that we can experience through studying His word.) I encourage you to do the same – you’ll never regret it.
I know quite a few content Christians. They are content in knowing they are saved. They are good people living good moral lives, but are doing nothing to grow in the Lord. I pray that one day they will come to realize that there is so much more to it than that. Who would not want to be close to Him? Look at this beauty He gives us as a part of His love.
I found this love letter a while back and just couldn’t wait to share it here. I was so moved when I read this. I hope you will be too. If you don’t know this kind of love. Find a Christian friend, or family member to talk with. Tell them that you want to know God and His love. Or, if you’d like you can email me or message me on Facebook. Don’t hurry through when you read this. And, it’s even better when you read it out loud. Be blessed!
