Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbs vanilla
  • 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
  • 7 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons cream of tarter
  • 4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2-3 packages of chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Cream together the shortening, sugars and the eggs. Add the vanilla and mix. Mix the pudding and the next 4 ingredients together. Slowly mix the dry ingredient into the moist ingredients, mixing well. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Bake only until cookies are very lightly browned. This recipe makes a large batch.
