Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Serving Up Southern
- 2 cups shortening
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 Tbs vanilla
- 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
- 7 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons cream of tarter
- 4 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2-3 packages of chocolate chips
Cream together the shortening, sugars and the eggs. Add the vanilla and mix. Mix the pudding and the next 4 ingredients together. Slowly mix the dry ingredient into the moist ingredients, mixing well. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Bake only until cookies are very lightly browned. This recipe makes a large batch.
