Strawberry-Chocolate Krispie Treats

  • 1 8- ounce bag of Strawberry flavored marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons of butter, cut in small cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 dash of salt
  • 3 1/4 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1/2 heaping cup of dried, candied strawberries
  • Dipping chocolates, enough for dipping


  • Spray an 8x8 (or slightly larger, if cutting out) pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a medium-sized saucepan melt butter and marshmallows on a medium-low setting, stirring often until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in almond extract, salt, and quickly add cereal and dried fruit Press mixture into prepared pan. Allow mixture to cool. When cool, cut-out desired shapes with cookie cutters.
  • Using a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate in microwave until smooth. Dip and/or drizzle chocolate over hearts. Add sprinkles if desired.
