Cheesy Potato Casserole With Green Onions

(I use frozen hash browns.)
Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
bunch green onions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl mix together sour cream, cheese, onions, milk, salt and pepper. Mix well.
Add the shredded potatoes and mix thoroughly.
Turn mixture into a greased 13x9 inch casserole dish, smoothing out the top.
Combine the melted butter and bread crumbs and sprinkle over the top.
Bake for 50 - 60 minutes. If bread crumbs start to brown to quickly lay a piece of foil over the top.
6 medium potatoes may be used - cooked, peeled and shredded, in place of the frozen hash browns
