Bicentennial Berries

Ingredients

  • Strawberries
  • White chocolate (baking squares,or chips work fine, or white melting chips, or almond bark)
  • Blue sanding sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries making sure berries are completely dry. In a microwave safe bowl melt the chocolate (or candy coating, melting chips) in 30 second intervals until melted and smooth. If using white chocolate add 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable oil to every 1/2 cup of chocolate squares or chips to make dipping easier.
  2. Dip berries into chocolate, and then into sanding sugar. Place on wax paper until set.
  3. These are best if eaten the same day they are prepared.
