I love making these. I do find it best to not freeze with the cheese on them, though. The time it takes to heat up the sandwich is waaaaay too long for the cheese, which becomes a melty mess. I heat up the sandwich then open it and add the cheese. The heat from the sandwich is all that is needed to melt the cheese just enough. I also like to toast the English muffins before assembling...even though they don't get crisp in the microwave, you get a little of the toasty flavor.

In reply to <a href="https://servingupsouthern.com/how-to-make-make-ahead-egg-mcmuffins/#comment-131154">Kim at Serving Up Southern</a>.

Question: for microwave reheating, did you mean waxed paper or did you happen to mean parchment? If you really did mean waxed, how did you keep it from melting into the sandwiches?

I just started a job 45 mins away and am thinking these would be the easiest breakfast options for my chronically tired, must have coffee self. LOL

Hi Katie! I don't see why you couldn't. I think you could use either whether your freezing them or making them each morning. Thanks for stopping by!
