In reply to Jeremy. I'm sorry this didn't turn out for you. I don't know what happened. I made this for our supper tonight, and it turned out great. I've never had it clump up. The cornstarch must be thoroughly mixed into the water before pouring it into the boiling broth. When you pour it in, be sure to whisk it into the broth quickly.

Did exactly as instructed in the instructions making it for the first time. Let the broth boil and went ahead and made the mixture for the cornstarch and water. Poured it in and the cornstarch never mixed all the way. I sat there for 30min trying to add water to see if it would help break it down. I couldn’t even break up the clump of cornstarch made it the process. I eventually gave up and strained what was in that pot to another and finished.

I was in the mood for some Egg Drop Soup when I woke up this morning. I don’t know why I never looked this up before as it’s one of my favorite soups. I added white pepper, peas & corn to this recipe. (I think the idea of adding a thickener – corn starch turned me off for a while, but I’m over it now!) Soup & Rice for breakfas

Hi Eva!
It’s one of my favorites. It’s a bummer that you can’t find the wonton strips because it’s just not the same without them.
